Analysis of regenerative braking efficiency in an electric vehicle through experimental tests

This paper presents a regenerative braking analysis of efficiency in real driving conditions and different road geographies. Factors affecting or benefiting energy recovery were identified, these are: the weight vehicle, torque, speed, inclination road, time; however, sport Eco modes not considered because same pace was chosen for routes. These results are intended to collaborate with regeneration data help investigators, academics, automotive engineering, improving this system's efficiency. In process, state charge (SOC), torques, geography effect braking, as vehicle on irregular exposes it aggressive physical factors, which considerably reduces its autonomy. The main aspects determined through quantitative analysis, resulting experimental surfaces curves, present performance current deceleration during braking. Thus, is shown that 78% considering low autonomy electric vehicle.
